wistful: having or showing a feeling of vague or regretful longing
about two thirds of the songs below were released between 1970 and 1979, which is also the time period i grew to love music: some music my parents listened to, some i discovered on my own. all of these songs have a melancholic, wistful meaning to me, taking me back to simpler times. let it be known, though, that it is more the music and the vocal harmonies that stir these feelings rather than the actual lyrics!
